Brewers End

Azure Architecture have re-imagined the ground floor of this family home, departing from the new build cellular layout to create an open plan configuration that maximises the use of every element of the space. Large floor to ceiling bi-fold sliding doors open up the entire rear to make a physical connection to the curated rear garden.

Removing the entrance hallway adds valuable and usable space into the living area, whilst acoustic timber panelling along the entrance wall conceals doors and cupboards and subtly zones the living space. A hallway cupboard and WC have been combined to form a utility room and opening up beneath the stairs to unlock previously inaccessible space to maximise storage capacity.

The kitchen and dining spaces have been relocated to the rear to create a connection to the rear garden for entertaining, whilst a side door has been inserted between living and dining spaces to form a new connection to an external terrace and BBQ area.

A detached garage has also been partially converted to create office space to meet the needs of the changing working patterns, and allows separate quiet and private space for working from home.
